I was nominated for the Liebster Award

The what? The Liebster Award! I already had my gala dress on and my speech ready when I found out that there wouldn't even be a red carpet. The Liebster Award is in fact a tag that bloggers give to each other to promote blogs. I was nominated by a fellow blogger who asked some questions for me.

I sat down and nominated some colleagues’myself.

Romy from Dochterlief.nl nominated me for the Liebster Award. With this tag you show your appreciation for other blogs. The award is originally German but I really have no idea where it originated.

So it is just really cool to be nominated because that way we can help each other in blogland and you can discover new blogs again.

My favorite blogs and nominations

Unfortunately I really don't have enough time to follow most of the blogs but there are some bloggers whose articles I love to read. Some of you may have already filled out the Liebster Award but the questions are different each time so who knows?. First I nominate Fleur from Mizflurry.A blog I love to read because she is very creative and shares the best ideas. I also nominate Judith from Mommy Loves Pink. She is a mother of two and has a lovely lifestyle blog.

Also, I nominate Marije from Mrs. Mama, who just became a mom of a baby son. I also nominate Linda from Go or No Go, a mom of twins who test the best products and outings together.

The answers to Romy's questions

What did you used to want to be, and did it come true?
As a child I wanted to become a veterinarian. That did not quite work out. After some wandering I became a social worker.

Meanwhile, however, I am a full-time mom and do have a lot of animals. So the animal piece is still there.

Are you a morning person or an evening person?
An evening person. You really shouldn't ask me too much in the morning.

What do you like and dislike about blogging??
I love writing, trying new things, messing around with the computer and just being busy. I don't like it when I have to blog because I put pressure on myself. So I stopped doing that because I blog because I like it.

What is your best read article?
My article about a DIY where I put a text on wood. This article is read several times a day.

Big and exciting life or rest, cleanliness and regularity?
Rest and regularity with some great moments now and then. But compelling sounds too dramatic to me haha.

What do you like best and what do you dislike most about parenthood?
I love that I am there for my children every day, that I see them grow and that we have lots of fun together. Most annoying are the worries. As soon as you become a mother, big or small worries arise, that's part of the deal but I'd rather not have them.

Are you a bourgondian or a sports freak (and why?)
Uh.. I do love food but I'm really not a bon vivant. I'm not a sports freak either although I do have my own horse which I keep busy with. I also like running, but the rheumatism prevents me from doing so at the moment.

What song is your guilty pleasure (and why?)
When I'm alone in the car I can listen to a really bad Nickelback song on repeat. Volume at 100 and blaring along really loudly.

What is your most annoying character trait according to others?
Have I?? No, I don't believe that. 😉

What is the best advice you have ever received?
That I have to follow my mother instinct. My mother always says that and it works really well for me.
